NeuroSearch is a Biopharmaceutical company focused on unmet medical needs within diseases in the Central Nervous System and other diseases treated primarily through ion channel modulation.
NeuroSearch has a broad research and development portfolio, which includes compounds for the treatment of ADHD, anxiety disorders, cancer, COPD, depression, epilepsy, pain and Parkinson's disease.
Continuing focus on value creation
Early in the life of NeuroSearch, we established a partnering strategy with a defined goal of forming strategic alliances with large pharmaceutical players. This entails a number of benefits: Our partners primarily carry the development risk, and the need for capital is reduced. Finally, product development becomes targeted early in the process.
Since 1989, we have therefore obtained more than DKK 1 billion of funding from our partners. By comparison, our shareholders have contributed about DKK 750 million.
NeuroSearch possesses valuable rights to products under development. Our partners have assumed the financial obligations related to this development, but attractive earnings will potentially accrue to us if the products are successfully developed and commercialized.
In the process, we have established a sound financial foundation for NeuroSearch and a great potential for value creation and future returns. Consequently, we are well positioned to achieve our most important long-term goal: To ensure that the products generated and developed in NeuroSearch make it all the way to the patients and the
market.
