Partnership

BioLogue facilitates Public-Private collaboration within translational biomedical sciences, research and education.

BioLogue also complements the technology transfer and commercialisation initiatives of the research institutions by formalising outreach activities.

BioLogue bridges the gaps in the new biomedical R&D paradigms, eases the funding of research activities through public-private partnering, and facilitates the transfer of technologies and competencies between the two sectors.

Partners contribute to BioLogue through appointment of one or more members to the Steering Committee, as well as strengthening the network via Ambassadors to our scientific focus areas and forums.

What is Outreach?

Outreach is an effort by an organization or group to connect its ideas or practices to the efforts of other organizations, groups, specific audiences or the general public.

Unlike marketing, outreach does not inherently revolve around a product or strategies to increase market share. Typically non-profits, civic groups, and churches engage in outreach. Outreach often takes on an educational component (i.e., the dissemination of ideas), but it is increasingly common for organizations to conceive of their outreach strategy as a two-way street. In this case, outreach is also framed as engagement rather than simple dissemination/education. Outreach strategies are linked to the organization's mission, and define targets, goals, and milestones.

BioLogue's Outreach Activities include:

  • Active matchmaking and science dating
  • Promotion of competencies, technologies and facilities located at partner institutions
  • Contribution to the public debate on contemporary topics in the biomedical field
